Telokynase: The Telomere-Support Formula I Make and Take Myself

Telokynase is the cycloastragenol-based telomere-support formula I make and take myself. If you came looking for TA-65, here is what I make now and why I built it.

If you came here looking for cycloastragenol-based telomere support, you have found the right place. Telokynase is the formula I make, manufacture, and take myself. I do not offer you anything I have not first run through my own body. That has been my rule for over twenty years and it is the rule behind this product.

A lot of people land on this page after searching for TA-65. I understand why. For years TA-65 was the name in this space, and it earned that reputation. I am going to talk about TA-65 honestly on this page, because you deserve the full story. But I want to be clear from the first paragraph: the telomere-support formula I make and stand behind today is Telokynase.

Why I built Telokynase

I have spent my career on one question. Why do we age, and what can we actually do about it? The answer that kept coming back to me lived at the very tips of our chromosomes. Telomeres. They are the protective caps on your DNA, and every time a cell divides, they get a little shorter. Run them down far enough and the cell stops working the way it should. That is aging, measured at the cellular level.

For most of human history there was nothing you could do about that countdown. You could slow the loss with good food, the right kind of exercise, and stress control. But slowing the loss is not the same as reversing it. The biology that governs telomere length runs through an enzyme called telomerase, and that enzyme is where the most interesting longevity research of the last two decades has been focused.

That research is exactly why I built Telokynase. It is a cycloastragenol-based telomere-support formula, built around cycloastragenol, a compound studied in laboratory research for its effect on the telomerase enzyme. I did not want to depend on someone else’s supply chain or someone else’s quality control for something this important to my own health. So I built my own.

How telomere support and the telomerase research fit together

This is the distinction that most articles miss, and it matters. There are two completely different things people lump together.

The first is slowing telomere loss. Eat well, exercise, manage your stress, knock down inflammation, and you can absolutely have longer telomeres than the average person your age. That is real and it is worth doing. My Telomere Edge Pack was built for exactly that job, and the Immortality Edge Packs carry that work into a full daily system.

The second is the telomerase enzyme itself, the machinery that maintains telomere length. Cycloastragenol, the compound at the heart of Telokynase, has been studied in laboratory research for its effect on that enzyme. Telokynase itself has not been tested in human trials, so I describe it honestly as telomere support, not a proven activator. Support reduces the pressure on the machinery. The enzyme research is the reason this class of compound is interesting in the first place. They are related but not the same, and anyone who blurs that line is either confused or selling you something.

What the human research on this class of compound shows

I am a scientist at heart, so let me put the evidence on the table, and let me be precise about whose evidence it is. TA-65 was studied in a randomized, double blind, placebo controlled human trial published in Rejuvenation Research. The people taking it showed a statistically significant increase in telomere length and, importantly, a reduction in the percentage of critically short telomeres. The placebo group’s telomeres got shorter, without exception. That is the natural progression of cellular aging, and it is exactly what you would expect to see. That human data belongs to TA-65 and to the broader cycloastragenol research base. It is not a claim about Telokynase.

That same body of work also documented changes in immune profile and inflammatory markers. And in the animal work from Maria Blasco’s lab, telomerase gene therapy extended healthy lifespan without increasing cancer. I keep coming back to that last point because the cancer fear is the one I hear most, and the data simply does not support it. I cover that in full in my piece on whether TA-65 causes cancer.

Telokynase is my own formula in that same cycloastragenol family. I built it on the strength of that research base, but I want to be clear that it is my formulation, not the product that ran those human trials, and I do not claim it as a clinically proven activator.

What happened to TA-65, and what I make now

Here is the honest version. TA-65 was a genuine breakthrough and I was one of the early adopters. I took it, I tested my own telomeres in the lab, and I wrote about the results. You can read that story in Does TA-65 Work.

I no longer sell TA-65. It is still on the market from its maker, so if you want that specific product, it is out there. I simply do not carry it anymore. What I make and take now is Telokynase. It carries the work forward under my own formulation and my own quality control, which is exactly how I want it for something I take every day and give to my own family.

So if you arrived here typing “TA-65” into a search bar, this is your answer. TA-65 is still available, and Telokynase is the cycloastragenol-based telomere-support formula I produce at The Longevity Edge and the one I personally choose.

Where Telokynase fits in your protocol

Think of your telomere strategy as a system, not a single pill. The foundation is the daily anti-inflammatory and antioxidant work that takes pressure off your cellular machinery. That is the Immortality Edge Packs and the Telomere Edge Pack. On top of that foundation sits Telokynase, my cycloastragenol-based telomere-support formula.

Foundation protects. Telomere support builds on it. That is the whole strategy, and it is the same one I run on myself.

If you want to understand the bigger picture of why telomeres sit at the center of aging, start with the hub article, Telomeres: The Crux of Aging. Then come back here when you are ready to actually do something about it.

You did not land on a telomere page by accident. Something in you refuses to accept that the cellular count

What is Telokynase?

Telokynase is the cycloastragenol-based telomere-support formula I formulate and manufacture at The Longevity Edge. It is built around cycloastragenol, a compound studied in laboratory research for its effect on the telomerase enzyme, and it is the product I take myself and give to my own family.

Is Telokynase the same as TA-65?

No. TA-65 was the original commercial telomerase activator and it was a landmark, with a published human trial behind it. I no longer sell it, though it is still on the market from its maker. Telokynase is my own current-production telomere-support formula in the cycloastragenol family. If you came here looking for TA-65, Telokynase is what I make and stand behind today.

How do I take Telokynase?

Telokynase is a daily oral supplement taken on the schedule on the product page. Most people who want the full telomere system pair it with the Immortality Edge Packs. As always, talk to your own physician before starting anything new, especially if you take prescription medication.
