A Long-Awaited Day!
I’ve been waiting for this day for 8 months. Fish Oil has arrived for real and is in our warehouse, tested and passed quality control and shipping as you read this, many of you have waited months as well (you patience is undeniable!!) ! Last week was almost the Day.
But the truck that carried the tracking assignment for the fish oil shipment was devoid of fish oil.
They “lost it”!
The last time this happened was in 2012 when we had traveled to a David Wolfe conference and found that UPS had not delivered our fish oil batch to the hotel where the event was being held. 4 months later it was shipped to our warehouse long after they had issued a refund.
That was a different situation. The force of my presentation to an audience of primarily vegetarians and vegans convinced 85% of them they should make an exception and we sold tons of fish oil. We simply could not hand them the bottles there but could send some a few days later from our stock.
Many of those people are still our fish oil customers and waited patiently for their back order this time.
As a matter of fact, we had only 5 cancellations out of hundreds of backorders.
I asked some why they were willing to wait. The most common answer was that no other brand even came close to delivering the results, the taste, the quality, the potency and the purity.
In my email “The problem with Excellence” a month or so ago I explained how a uniquely formulated product with a patented flavoring system, a super high-quality shell and a capsule size that has to be run specially to fit the proper dosage all led to some of the series of events that delayed the product and its manufacturing.
Here is a list of the things that caused the delays:
- The proportion of EPA to DHA is unique and not used by anyone else
- The raw material for same was temporarily unavailable. To my knowledge there was no decline in the harvesting of Alaskan red pollock so I have no idea how this was possible. Restaurants may have been closing but people were still using it in every other avenue more than ever within the bounds of how much harvest is allowed. That quota is not determined by anything other than the MSC evaluations of the ecologic impact. There were no changes in that!!!
- Fish don’t get Covid.
- The raw material and finished product requires testing- the labs were closed for a time due to “Covid Crisis” e.g., they were making ton of money directing their resources in this direction intead.
- Everyone was understaffed due to the “Covid Crisis” leading to a shortage of warm bodies to do the above and thus a faux shortage since they were simply engaged elsewhere. The demand for toilet paper did not go down, it went up, but the demand for toilet paper makers went down?! Huh!!
- The encapsulators had to make the special sized caps for our product and had a ton of other “GNC” size customers to serve first. We literally are a Big Capsule and a small fish in a big pond! That demand apparently went up and they got to us when they could… last since we represent 1% of their income! And there were increases in demand by the big boys so the delay was even longer.
- The bottlers and labelers stopped answering our demands for knowing when they got the capsules. Why? Because the could! They were paid months ago and had no reason to keep their deadline.
- With one exception every single one of our previously reliable suppliers plain and simple lied. Again, because they could. Most simply stopped answering our calls or lying again to keep us waiting.
- Finally, the shipping company lost the shipment although that was short lived.
So, many months after it was ordered and months after it was initially promised it was here.
I was down to my last bottle – and only because I lowered my dose to almost nonexistent!
We have taken several steps to assure this does not happen again including raising several MOQs to hit the “preferred” customer status. This of course guarantees nothing. If the agenda is to put small business out of business (over 50,000 are gone as of now and another 50,000 forecast in the rest of this year in the US alone) and transfer the business to big business, they will think of another way to disrupt the supply chain.
We are scurrying to do test batches with other suppliers now to try to see if there are any others that can meet our standards as back ups but this will take time. We are allowing 6 months lag time on our next order. We’ve ordered 3X as much as before this time and when it hits the 50% mark we reorder then instead of when it hits the 25 % mark as before. The combination of larger orders, sooner reorder trigger and longer lag times built in should under normal circumstances make this situation unrepeatable.
But as I stated in “The Problem with Excellence” email We have it now, it has a 2-year minimum shelf life so you might want to do a little “crisis” hoarding and stock up on some cases now.
In terms of affecting the general population the virus called Covid was a failure. Not to desensitize to the lives lost, but the whole thing was a gigantic sham designed to distract people from the larger agenda: the rape of the wealth of the Republic!
It did of course resurrect a dead industry – the vaccine industry which simply died off when the number of vaccine related law suits made it less profitable for Big Pharma. Pfizer alone is forecasting 27 billion revenue and their stock has climbed higher and higher. No wonder all the “Get the vaccine” commercials We are all in this together and together we can give Pfizer its Best Year Ever so get vaccinated with the experimental vaccine! While you are at it donate your genetic material to 23and me!
IN 2009 with the mortgage crisis a man named Bernie Madoff was made the scapegoat to distract from the obscene bank bailout. An unscrupulous crook and a liar and cheat no one had any sympathy for his plight and he became an easy distraction. While he stole hundreds of millions it was a drop in the bucket compared to what the banks “stole” from the hardworking citizens of this country. In my opinion Covid was a similar distraction to steal the wealth of the hard-working small businesses of this nation and others and shunt it into big businesses.
The COVID CRISIS or the Pandemic* became the perfect excuse for every incompetence and sweeping change in how we live and are monitored.
It will happen again.
Dissolved marriages, suicides, mental health crisis, depression, substance abuse, domestic violence and who knows what the sequel of the vaccine (which smartly less than 30% of the adult populations has taken!) are not counted in the Covid tally and far exceed it in terms of the damage to our health.
Don’t let them steal your health!!!! Stock up now!!!
As a reminder getting on continuity assures you will be first served not matter what happens! This time we were able to serve our continuity customers for almost 3 months after we had to stop shipping regular orders!
I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. I have been in ecommerce for 20 years now and will be one of the lucky ones who survive the panicdemic thanks to you and people like you.
More good stuff to come!!!

P.S A few people cited an all DHA algae sourced product touted by a person who is not a scientist a doctor and most definitely not a healer as not having any shortage. The product has a fancy woo woo name and a very pretty package and is selling very well mostly due to the cult like following this individual has. Why was it not in shortage? 1) Algae based products make up less than 2% of the market,2) Algae can be grown in vats it does not require oceans boats or being caught. 3) Algae has only DHA and minimal EPA an imbalance I’ve discussed many many times in terms of human health. 4) Vat grown algae is subject to minimal testing so there is less chance of lab hold up. 5) This particular product is cleverly packaged and marketed to look unique but anyone looking would see that its just a “white label” of a mass produced product that is easily available with a different label at a cheaper price. This holds true of many fish oils as well where the dosage is actually listed to 2 or 3 capsules instead of 1. Or the dose is simply referred to as “fish oil” and not EPA/DHA. Fish oil contains a lot of other things besides the all important EPA and DHA. 1 gram of fish oil has 300 to 500 mg of EPA/DHA. Many of my customers already know this and this is yet another reason why they stuck with me.
Hint: Being honest, genuine and sincere may not be social media friendly but the less of it is out there the more valuable it becomes!
Honored by your loyalty and belief in me – I cannot fail!!! DD
P.P. S.
The following is from Eureka Alert news media. If you bother to look at the emails I sent out to you in February of 2020 you’ll see I made exactly these same statement! Of course why would anyone believe Dr Dave- except you, You and I are way ahead of the curve- too far for most!
Researchers with the Fatty Acid Research Institute (FARI) and collaborators at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and in Orange County, CA, have published the first direct evidence that higher omega-3 blood levels may reduce risk for death from COVID-19 infection. The report was published in the journal Prostaglandins, Leukotrienes and Essential Fatty Acids on January 20, 2021.
There are several papers in the medical literature hypothesizing that omega-3 fatty acids should have beneficial effects in patients with COVID-19 infection, but up until now, there have been no published peer-reviewed studies supporting that hypothesis.
This study included 100 patients admitted to the hospital with COVID-19 for whom admission blood samples had been stored. Clinical outcomes for these patients were obtained and blood was analyzed for the Omega-3 Index (O3I, red blood cell membrane EPA+DHA levels) at OmegaQuant Analytics (Sioux Falls, SD). Fourteen of the patients died.
The 100 patients were grouped into four quartiles according to their O3I, with 25% of the patients in each quartile. There was one death in the top quartile (i.e., 1 death out of 25 patients with O3I>5.7%), with 13 deaths in the remaining patients (i.e., 13 deaths out of 75 patients with O3I<5.7%).
In age-and-sex adjusted regression analyses, those in the highest quartile (O3I >5.7%) were 75% less likely to die compared with those in the lower three quartiles (p=0.07). Stated another way, the relative risk for death was about four times higher in those with a lower O3I (<5.7%) compared to those with higher levels.
“While not meeting standard statistical significance thresholds, this pilot study – along with multiple lines of evidence regarding the anti-inflammatory effects of EPA and DHA – strongly suggests that these nutritionally available marine fatty acids may help reduce risk for adverse outcomes in COVID-19 patients. Larger studies are clearly needed to confirm these preliminary findings,” said Arash Asher, MD, the lead author on this study.
Agreeing with Dr. Asher, cardiology researcher and co-developer with Dr. Harris of the Omega-3 Index, Clemens von Schacky, MD, (CEO, Omegametrix GmbH, Martinsried, Germany, and not involved with the study) said, “Asher et al have demonstrated that a low Omega-3 Index might be a powerful predictor for death from COVID-19. Although encouraging, their findings clearly need to be replicated.”
Omega-3 expert James H. O’Keefe, Jr., MD, (Director of Preventive Cardiology, Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute, Kansas City, MO, and also not involved with the study) observed, “An excessive inflammatory response, referred to as a ‘cytokine storm,’ is a fundamental mediator of severe COVID-19 illness. Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA) have potent anti-inflammatory activities, and this pilot study provides suggestive evidence that these fatty acids may dampen COVID-19’s cytokine storm.”
